Ned Jacob spent his early years in Lebanon and received his secondary education at the International College in Beirut. He obtained a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Leicester in England, then moved to Melbourne, Australia where he spent twelve years, working as a city engineer.

The author moved to Canada and has since worked in a wide range of professions, including computer programming, teaching, home inspection, home energy evaluation and residential insurance appraisal.

Ned Jacob has been a Christian for over twenty years and has played drums in church worship for many years on a regular basis. He presented several programs on Christian values at the Melbourne Gospel Radio while in Australia.

He and his wife Reem and their children Natalie, Andrew and Jonathan reside in Toronto, Canada.
